This video tells how David asks for a release from his mission because of the death of his wife.  The signature of JFS we believe is Joseph F. Smith.

02 Lynn Crookston - Extraordinary Swimmer - KWHQ-6TC (5:22 min)

This video tells how Lynn as my dentist got me interested in family history.  It also tells of him being the first person to swim the width of Bear Lake.  You can hear Lynn tell the story himself on YouTube.

05 Robert Crookston - Man of Faith/Conversion - KWJD-C8M (8:48 min)

At the age of 19, Robert Crookston heard the gospel of Jesus Christ in 1841 and joins The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints.  He migrates to Nauvoo, Illinois.  He was arrested and releases from the Carthage Jail the day before Joseph Smith was martyred.

David Crookston helped in the 1882 Black Pox quarantine in Cache valley. He was sympathizer of the arresting of the fathers of plural marriage. He was good and kind common person who suffered hard setbacks.

Robert Crookston and his brother-in-law John Welch both left sworn statements with the Cache County Courthouse on what Robert calls Statement of Facts.  These include facts on Joseph Smitha and Brigham Young.

Robert Crookston after leaving Nauvoo and before he arrives in Salt Lake, marries. looses his mother, father, fosters an orphan and has 3 children.  Unlike most pioneers, he prepared for 3 years getting 18 months of provisions. (part 1) They travel with Ann's brother John Welch and family.

(Part 2) of Robert Crookston and John Welch crossing the plains as Mormon pioneers.  Unlike most pioneers, they didn't leave until they had a 18 month supply.  This meant two wagons for Robert's family.

Ann Welch's family joins The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. Her father was a Methodist preacher in England who loses his job after joining the church. They tell of their struggles in Nauvoo and Chicago.  John joins later on a prompting from the spirit.

Nicholas Welch Crookston was Cache Valley Sheriff for two terms and Bishop of North Logan for twenty years.  This video contains some interesting and maybe unknown stories to you.

Dalton Reid and Agnes Crookston were nice and quiet people. Dalton would take his mule to town when he began losing vision in his eyes and a car was not an option.

Ezra and Frank both single settle in Montana close to Gardiner on Frank's Ranch.  For twenty years they ran stage coaches from the train depot to Yellowstone.  Newell Crookston left some stories of the brothers.

Burns Crookston was a very successful athlete and coach in multiple sports.  He is know for holding the record of the longest pass in the air in college history of 87 yards.  As Father, husband and coach he has been model to many people.

20 Daniel Crookston - Canadian Pioneer - KWJH-9FV  (7:43)

In 1899 Daniel and Henrietta Crookston were called to leave their home in Logan to settle the Alberta, Canada area. Their descendants still live that community.
